What are some best practices for packing my boxes?
For the best experience, customers should securely pack all of their belongings so they are properly protected.
Heavier items should be placed on the bottom. For instance, if you are packing away winter clothes, boots should be placed on the bottom and lighter clothing items on top.
Clothes should be put into vacuum-seal bags or packing cubes. Not all materials are suitable for storage in vacuum-seal bags, so you should exercise best judgment when packing articles of clothing.
Items that could be prone to breakage should be properly protected with bubble wrap or packing paper.
All items should be snugly packed into the box to prevent the contents from shifting during transit.
Why do I need to name my box and add details?
Think of Space as not just a storage service; we're a personal manager for your things. We encourage you to add a name and list the contents of each of your boxes so that you have an accurate inventory of items in storage.
If you have multiple boxes in storage, having these details for each box will be critical so you can request the correct box with the items you want.
The Space app makes it easy for you to catalog the contents of your boxes in real time as you pack, as well as take a picture of its contents before you seal a box.
Important Note: Any box for which a user does not add complete details will not be eligible for a claim in the very unlikely event that the box is damaged or lost in transit.
